Isaac got off work early today (and I didn’t work at all, yay!), so we headed up to Saltwater State Park in Des Moines to take in some sun.
It’s not a very large park, a stretch of beach access and a small loop trail that takes you up around the rim of the little valley that the park sits in. There is camping during the summer months, but I think I would have a hard time camping here because the road runs right over the top of the camping area, making the ‘wilderness experience’ more difficult to imagine.
The loop trail was a good little walk with the pooch. The beach was pretty crowded, since the weather was so nice, so we didn’t spend much time there. All in all we had a good time.
They`re all nice but the bird picture is beautiful.
