September 3rd, photo of the day: Foxy Roxy

I started a new house-sitting job on Sunday, and so far it has been difficult! These pets have such an involved schedule, I wish I could quit my day job just to keep up!

They live west of Issaquah, which is really beautiful area, right on Lake Sammamish. I’m looking forward to spending time hanging out on the shore with the pups later this week!

That being said, this pretty kitty is Roxy. She belongs to another house-sitting client we just started sitting for recently.

She is quite clearly the foxiest Roxy around!

April 30th, photo of the day: Monkeys and Peacocks, oh my!

I went back to the zoo today. I went with the intention of checking out the new warthogs, but I was too early by one day, hahaha. The big warthog reveal is set to happen tomorrow, apparently.

Anyway, it was a much nicer visit this time, last time when I went with Isaac and my friend Siana, it was a beautiful sunny weekend, so everyone and their mom was there. Today it was so quiet! I loved it.

I visited my favorites, and saw a few other fellows that we missed before, like the Wallaby. So cute!

April 3rd, photo of the day: the country

One of the nice things about this area is that even though we are so close to the city, we are also so close to the country.

We don’t have to drive very far in any direction before we find roads that meander through the country; past open fields and farms.

In fact, if we wanted to spend only a little more money, we could buy farm fresh eggs, and local beef from nearby farms, and we could have milk from local cows delivered right to our front door!

I met this guy along the Soos Creek Trail, where Isaac and I have gone several times. There is a horse stable right alongside the trail, but this was the first time any of the horses were close enough to the fence for me to photograph them.

It's like he knew how to pose so the red barn was just so in the background.

I’m curious though, when shooting an animal clearly owned by someone, what I mean is, not a wild animal, should I get a model release form signed?

Oh! Before I forget, yesterday’s riddle! I’m sorry in advance….

Q: “April showers bring May flowers, what do May flowers bring?”

A: Pilgrims!

:D

Have a good night!
