What could be happier than a grown man reliving childhood memories for a moment on a spring day in the park?
I had fun playing around with sepia tone and lomo effects on this, to give it more of a nostalgic air.
Today’s challenge was another stumper. Since it’s day thirteen, the challenge was to photograph “yourself with 13 things.”
Not enough guidance for my liking. 13 things….related things? random things? How can I take an interesting photo that includes 13 random things?
Finally, it came to me in the form of the goodwill box. Here is a photo of me, with 13 things, that I’m going to get rid of! I even got to do a little more clearing out of my closet to bring the number up to thirteen!

I see now that I need to learn a bit more about lighting, as well as more about photoshop – there’s a weird reflection on the gloves and sweatshirt from the table that I couldn’t get to go away when I used the reversed B&W effect.

Over the holidays I was in Spokane, Washington with my boyfriend’s family. We were there for several weeks, which allowed me to get away from the things that usually distracted me at home.
I took the opportunity to do a ’12 days of Christmas’ photo blog. I posted the photos each day on my facebook page.
